Day one is in the books (or on the blog, I guess we can say). As you can tell, we survived the 9+ hour flight. Jack was thrilled to get to explore the cockpit once we landed in Frankfurt. Never mind that it was basically 3:30 am Eastern. The sun was shining where we were, and he was ready to roll (or fly).
We were greeted at the airport by a very happy Aunt Emmy & Uncle Jonathan. First order of business was to head back to their place to rest a bit. Much to Josh's surprise we traveled most of the way on the Autobahn.
Josh: "Wait, this it?"
Em: "Yep, we're going 100 right now."
We made some lunch & just took it easy. Jack was pleased to find Aunt Emmy & Uncle Jonathan had movies. Everyone took turns snoozing on the giant couch.
After dinner at a restaurant on base, we took the boys to one of the fantastic playgrounds. I hoped it would wear the kids out & Sam did fall asleep on the walk home.
About midnight he woke up from his "nap." Thankfully, we were able to get him back asleep. Today, we're headed to Stuttgart & Munich. Auf Wiedersehen!
