For Jack's seven month milestone, we had a visit from his Grandmommy & Grandaddy Garrett. They came over Saturday afternoon after Grandmommy finished up her class in Atlanta. It was so nice to have them hang out Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully, they were well aware we had thrown a party the night before and could care less about the fact that the house was a wreck! In fact, my folks are coming for a visit today and instead of straightening up I'm writing posts to catch the blog up! Can you believe I enjoy this more than cleaning? LOL
After Josh's parents left town on Sunday we geared up to head to the Patriotic Celebration that our church was hosting at the fairgrounds. Josh and I were suckered into operating the Cotton Candy machine. After we finally got it working (through no fault of our own), we were in business. I didn't think it was that bad, but then again I was just pouring the sugar and passing the paper cones to Josh. Anyway, I think we've put in our service and won't have to do it again for a long while! Jack enjoyed the puppet show that the youth did. He just studied those little guys. We enjoyed a great musical program by the choir and survived a couple of monster down pours. No one complained, because we need the rain dearly. Thankfully, the major program was indoors. Once we got home, we were all worn out from a long, but fun weekend.

Oh, don't go thinking that your cotton candy days are over...you'll be everyone's first choice to spin sugar at the Patriotic Celebration '09!
